Background

KeCCT Volunteers

Kenya Childhood Cancer Trust (KeCCT) works with volunteers in most of our activities. Our volunteers are individuals drawn from all walks of life who have either been through the cancer journey or feel passionate about childhood cancer and would like to participate in our activities. Most of our volunteers are individuals who have reached out to us and expressed their interest in volunteering at KeCCT. They are responsible for different activities at the organization depending on their skills set.

KeCCT has both long term and short term volunteers. Short term volunteers participate during particular events performing certain specific assignments, whereas long term volunteers take part in the day to day running of KeCCT. Some of the activities that our volunteers participate in include proposal writing, report writing, administrative work, and project coordination, as well as participating in cancer-related events. Such events include activities hosted by KeCCT or other organizations or institutions for advocacy, information dissemination and fundraising. Volunteers may also represent KeCCT in collaborations with other cancer organizations.

KeCCT values volunteers as we couldn’t do what we do without them. Together, we make all the difference in this childhood cancer battle.
