Unpublished dissertation on “Coin Street: Suggestions on Spatial Structure”. Coin street was a 4.5 ha derelict are in the south bank of the river Thames in London U.K. which required urban renewal development but the operative forces could not, for a long time, agree on the type of development which should be implemented in the area. The dissertation was a concerted attempt to show the process and product of redevelopment which could occur with as many interests and views as possible taken into account.


Unpublished M.A. dissertation on “Toward a Concept on Alternative Future Urban form for Expanding Secondary Towns in Kenya: A class study of Eldoret Town.” This study was an attempt to identify what urban forms Kenyans really want in their town. How well this compare with other “good-currency” ideas on the subject worldwide and what structuring units could be used by an Urban Designer to respond to the requirements of the people in these towns. The study also gives a critique of the recent product and process or urban physical planning in Kenya and suggests alternative approaches.
